No claims are made for the efficacy of any herb nor for any historical herbal treatment. ♠ = Denotes a POISONOUS agent/s. Professionals only! These agents are more common in Chinese medicine where they are especially processed to render them safe, or else used in homeopathic tinctures which are safe to take. There are also instances where one component of the plant is safe, as in the Castor Bean which is deadly, but its oil is safe to use. |

The same is true for any serious animal or human bites. Cat bites in particular require professional medical attention. It is rare when they don't become infected.

BONES/JOINTS | |||
Calcified tissue which makes up the skeleton, the basic architecture of the body around which everything else hangs or hitches. In general it's a good idea to make sure your calcium requirements are being met through diet or supplementation. If you have trouble with dairy products you may find yogurt can be eaten with no problem. Glucosamine is a fairly new supplement that's been used in veterinary medicine for many years, but has now found a place in human supplementation for arthritis and other degenerative bone problems. Externally, salves containing herbs can offer some temporary relief (also Tiger Balm and Vick's Vapo Rub). To help prevent osteoporosis, get in the habit of making your own soup broths to use as a base for soups or to add to other recipes where liquid is called for. All broths can be done easily in a crockpot. When making a fish broth tie the bones up in a muslin bag. This makes it easy to remove them.
