HARVEST: Flowers

USES

MEDICINAL:
Infusion of tea from dried petals is laxative, induces perspiration, and reduces fever.

CULINARY:
Grown for its seed oil. Dried flowers used to color food.

COSMETIC:
Flowers powdered for rouge-like cosmetic.

DYE:
Produces shades of pink to violet.
