NOT to be used in cases of high blood pressure.

MEDICINAL USES:
Secondary adaptogen. Used as a tea.
Chinese herb considered a tonic, detoxifier, and energy booster.
Said to build healthy lung tissue.
Has been used to relieve rheumatism, arthritis, neuralgia, and gout.
Said to be helpful for kidney and bladder problems.
Said to be helpful for shortening a cold.
Has been used to clear up hives.
Considered good cardiovascular herb.
Effective at lowering serum cholesterol.
Contains bioflavinoid-like compounds that help protect and dilate blood vessels, increasing blood flow to heart.

COMMENTS:
Member of the buckwheat family.
