GINSENG

CAUTION! Not advised in conditions of congestion, strong pulse, high blood pressure; overweight; loud or aggressive disposition.
AVOID if asthma, emphysema, inflammation, infection, colds, flu, or any acute disease is present.
Overuse or inappropriate use can lead to headache, insomnia, heart palpitations, rise in blood pressure.
Do NOT take with stimulants like coffee.
AVOID if on insulin or heart medications.

USES

MEDICINAL:
General tonic; considered to nourish; remove heat; and supplement the lungs.
Has been used for deficiency syndromes like: chronic fatigue, weakness, low body weight, quiet, tired, pale demeanor, lack of energy and low sex drive.
Raises energy level; can be overstimulating for people in normal health.
Stimulates immune system; helps reduce cholesterol; protects liver from toxins; increases nutrient absorption from intestine.
Primarily affects the pituitary.
The tea has been used for stress and flagging energy.

COMMENT:
Only herb currently known to stimulate testosterone production.



GINSENG, SIBERIAN

MEDICINAL USES:
Primary adaptogen used as a general tonic.
Has been used as an adaptogen for stress by supporting adrenal function and increasing energy efficiency.
Helps normalize body functions.
Regular use said to improve general health and increase longevity, restore vigor, stimulate good appetite, combat stress, support the adrenal function, improve visual accuity (color perception), hearing acuity, protect against environmental pollutants and radiation.
Normalizes body temperature; regulates blood sugar levels; protect liver and enhance its ability to eliminate drugs; improve ability to resist infection; optimize adrenal function; improve cells' ability to use phosphoruscontaining energy molecules and to dispose of lactic acid.
Natural plant steroids are concentrated in the root.
Has been used for asthma, severe allergy, lack of energy, adrenal weakness, debility, exhaustion stress and depression.
