SHINGLES

A viral disease of the nerve endings caused by Herpes zoster and marked by the formation of blisters/pustules along the course of the involved nerve. Very painful and may last several weeks.

SHOCK

Any event which upsets the system and produces profound changes. Symptoms are a drop in blood pressure, rapid weak pulse, pale moist clammy skin, marked thirst, and a state of great anxiety.
